So I might need to read a manual here - if I can find what Microsoft call this feature in the DOCUMENTATION SEARCH as it’s sure not finding “FORWARD PRINTING DEVICES” as it was called before in version 8. Cannot Remote Desktop Access Win7 (32bit) from Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2) At the begining I can access Win 7 from my MacBook with Remote Desktop Connection, but after I installed Checkpoint VPN-1 SecureClinet and Dell ControlPoint Security Manager Application (I'm not sure if this is the cause of access failure, but I did nothing except for these.

On OS X, not much appears to work (I only tried with Safari). The documentation is a little scarce on examples, so I thought I would post what I have found. I have been playing with smart tunnels on my Cisco ASA. Still to find the “redirect printing to a local printer” option work - I’ve imported all my 87 sites (yes - 87) and find it doesn’t print to my local printer (even though the only option I can see is ticked in Remote Desktop 10 but it’s not clear if that is the one). Cisco ASA and smart tunnels my experience on OS X 10.7. I’m sure “under the hood” there’s been changes with version 10 which are nice - but I’m yet to read anything in the notes which makes this a “must have, upgrade”. I have over 80 Remote Desktops links and by far it’s far better layed out in Version 8 than with 10 which is just one huge list (or view them “by icons”) - so if you have more than say 4 Remote Desktops you connect to regularly, your going to see a list of “fine print” names without contrasting “darker” backgrounds every second connection - which really makes it easier to see. I have the version 8 and version 10 side by side.
#REMOTE DESKTOP MAC OS X 10.7 FOR MAC#
Paraphrased from their download page for the 2.1.1 version of MRDC: Note: Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac (version 2.1.1) is not intended for use with Mac OS X v10.7 (Lion) or later. Perfect for those who travel frequently, or those who have a Mac/PC environment at work that. Do note that Microsoft specifically says that Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client (MRDC) does not work with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later. “Simplified” layout is actually more confusing Microsoft Remote Deskop is an effective free tool for managing remote-desktop connections from a Mac.
